MemberChestbursterAug-22-2017 10:55 PMtoday I was at target and I saw a total outrage!
in the checkout counter they were selling movies and they had literally 4 rows of different gardians of the galaxy bluerays, and the only alien covenant ones were at like foot level. the bottom row. if i hadn't been looking for it to see how well it was selling, i wouldent of even seen it.
so I literally took acouple of copies of alien covenant and put them eye level on the racks in front of gardians vol 2 at eye level. is this immature ? probably. is it not even completly legal? i really don't know but if alien cpvenant makes just enough money on blueray to warrent sequels, it will have been worth it. very childish. I know.

MemberTrilobiteAug-22-2017 11:05 PMLol! They probably just moved AC back to where it was. Not illegal. I imagine that many GOtG discs will go on sale soon or eventually wind up in the bargain bin.
I don't even bother with brick and mortar stores for movies or music and I imagine many others don't. We get stuff online.

ModeratorPraetorianAug-23-2017 12:10 AMTimmy the ultramorph haha nice work! Not childish at all
its "in the interest of fairness" & "exposing the masses to material outside the Top 40 pop culture"....that's how I see it anyway XD
I was about to give Sanity (Australian retail chain) a good wrap for nicely displaying Covenant so prominently in store when i bought in on Day 0, but I see they have fallen for the Guardian of the Galaxy white washing as well :(

MemberTrilobiteAug-23-2017 12:13 AMTake this for what it is worth. A quote from Jello Biafra- "The dumbest buy the mostest, that's the name of the game."

MemberChestbursterAug-23-2017 5:09 AMThis argument is rather dumb... GotG earned 5 times more than AC and it is the newer release so in a capitalist sense it is the logical thing to have 4 times more shelves for that and also at top. Don't blame Target for it's logic, as it is very sane.
Furthermore even AC's directions were capital driven, Fox wanted to introduce the Xeno as quickly as possible (to sell more toys) and this are the results. So please don't cite Biafra in defense of a capitalist product.

MemberPraetorianAug-23-2017 6:05 AMTimmy the ultramorph - It was a five star action! :D
As for the gotg 2, please fans forgive me, but that is an awful movie in my opinion, unwatchable...

MemberDeaconAug-23-2017 8:33 AMMaybe there is more AC because it was selling quicker lol
But good for you, moving some copies to a Eye-Level ;)

MemberChestbursterAug-23-2017 10:47 AMYou do realize that on amazon.com Gotg 2 is out of stock on all formats? It is well outperforming AC. This should even more disconcerting for potential sequels. 2 out of 3 Fox Franchises flopped this year ... and in every one the main characters dies. Maybe that's not a great idea in these times?
And why in hell amazon us contains has 2 (+ reviews) score: 1 for the physical medium and 1 for the digital download. The grade for the first is 3.4 (of course people who liked the movie in the cinema will by a physical copy) and for the later is 2.6? Why don't they show the combined rating like for every other movie (which would probably be around 3.1). Hope that this is only an error on part of amazon.

MemberFacehuggerAug-23-2017 12:51 PMlol I used to put my favorite artist's album on the Top 1 chart at HMV. Great work Timmy.
Guess I should do the same, and put a note on the shelf: "Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair."
